Public Relations Internship position
We are looking for two part-time team members to join our PR team. This position will be remote and begin in January and run through May. We are seeking team members that are self-starters, assertive, professional people and excited to be a part of a growing Tech and Branding Firm. In this role, you will collaborate with the founders in the company’s PR needs, writing media releases, scheduling PR events, conducting research, and be able to build relationships with the media, while constantly looking for ways to boost 22nd and Tech’s business image.. This invaluable experience with direct exposure to the inner workings of the tech industry will prepare you to thrive in any fast-paced work environment.
This is a remote non-paid internship position. If you're based in the Atlanta Metro area, that's a huge plus because we'd love the opportunity to have you join occasional in-person work sessions with the team. At the end of the designated internship period, interns will receive a written letter of recommendation.

Marketing Role Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and implementing 22nd and Tech’s PR strategy
Provide input on marketing initiatives and suggesting creative ways to improve the company’s public image
Building relationships with current and potential clients, suppliers, and the media
Conduct research on marketing initiatives of competitors.
Draft reports, build and editing press lists, eventually gather media clips, do media analyses and research projects, pitch calls to reporters and copy-edit
Assist with a variety of communications- and team related assignments and tasks as necessary
Requirements:
Availability of 12-15 hours per week, between 9 am – 7 pm EST or 10am-8pm CST
Self Starter, Ability to work independently and with a team, Resourcefulness
Required Minimum: Junior or Senior enrolled in a degree program focused on public relations, communication, journalism, or a related field
Self-motivation, good organizational skills, detail-orientation, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing abilities: able to write clear and persuasive copy, quickly
Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with the press and community contacts
Demonstrated interest in news, politics and current events
Excellent computer skills including Google Workspace products
Comfortable with public speaking and engaging with stakeholders.
Strong social media skills
Research and media database skills are a plus
